One of the most important things we can do for ourselves is to take care of our bodies.

Chronic stress can take a toll on your health. It also wreaks havoc on your skin. The skin and mind are intertwined, therefore, if you are feeling nervous or anxious, your skin can suffer. This anxiety can aggravate already existing skin conditions: acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and beyond. When your body is tense it may release stress hormones, making you more prone to outbreaks. How can you alleviate some of the stress in your life? There are many ways you can de-stress – none of which should become a daunting task. Stress relief should never become stressful in itself! It should be something you enjoy and take pleasure in doing – a fun and uplifting activity.

What’s one way to reduce stress and detoxify the body? Take a detox bath!

One of our favorite detox baths is the salt bath! There are many health benefits associated with Epsom Salt, and the uses go far beyond just detox baths. Epsom Salts are a form of Magnesium Sulfate. Magnesium is a vital mineral that is essential to every cell in our bodies. Yet it’s one of the most common nutrient deficiencies in the modern world!

Sulfur, found as the Sulfate in this Magnesium Sulfate bath, is also essential for health at the cellular level. Epsom salt baths are incredibly soothing to the skin, mind, and body – and they’re super affordable!

You can find Magnesium Sulfate Epsom Salts almost anywhere, including Amazon (I like these, but you can get ‘em cheaper) or your local drugstore. You can buy them in larger amounts – 20 lbs or more – or you can start smaller.

Natural Detox Bath Recipe:

* You may feel dizzy after soaking. This is normal with any detox bath.

This bath is excellent for boosting magnesium levels, soothing the skin, and detoxifying.

Soak in a warm Epsom Salt bath twice each week, or simply soak your feet. You’ll notice the difference!

Before you bathe, try a quick dry brush! This is a simple (and effective!) way to gently massage and exfoliate your body. Dry brushing takes only 5-10 minutes and is best done before a warm bath.
